Landing in Istanbul – The Adventure Begins

Our first Studio Güler trip took us to the vibrant city of Istanbul, a place full of inspiration for content creators, photographers, and fashion enthusiasts. With a crew of six Ferhat, Stephen, Alkenah, Daodi, and Nigel joining a day later we were ready to create, explore, and capture the energy of this unique city. Melike was already in Istanbul and would meet us there.

The flight was smooth, and everyone took the chance to rest. But as soon as we landed at Istanbul Airport, the energy shifted. Cameras were out, and the boys immediately started capturing the moment. The excitement was real, but so was the weather. Stepping outside, we were hit with -5°C temperatures and snowfall. Not exactly what we had hoped for!

Exploring Beyoğlu and Planning Our Shoot

Our hotel was in Beyoğlu, which meant an hour-long metro ride ahead. By the time we reached Taksim, the rain was coming down harder than anything we’d seen in the Netherlands. Cold and wet, we quickly dropped our luggage at the apartment and went out to find food.

Over dinner, we planned the next day's shoots, mapping out locations and discussing creative ideas for our Istanbul travel content. We wanted to capture the city's raw beauty, from its bustling streets to its hidden gems. With full stomachs and a solid plan, we took a short walk through the streets of Beyoğlu before heading back to the hotel.

Preparing for a Full Day of Content Creation

Thankfully, our apartment had three bathrooms an essential detail when you have five guys under one roof. A long day awaited us, but we were ready to make the most of Istanbul, no matter the weather.
